There are many opportunities for parish members to get involved.

Mobile Meals Holy Cross has many who drive "Route Five", delivering mealsmobile meals to those who are in need and cannot get out. stepstohopeSteps to Hope is a local non-profit agency which provides critical help in the area of Domestic Violence. STEPS maintains a shelter where women and children can find safety as they take an opportunity to change their lives for the better. Hospice of the Carolina Foothills is an essential part of our caring community.hospicelogo This non-profit provides home care, inpatient hospice care, grief counseling, palliative care and spiritual support for the families of those with terminal illness. The Church of the Advocate is a ministry of the Diocese of Western North Carolina. The congregation of the Church of the Advocate serves the homelesschurchofadvocate community in Asheville. Our Holy Cross parishioners are very active in this ministry. A trip is made to Asheville every other month, when we deliver a meal for 30 or more people. We also lead the Sunday worship and Holy Eucharist for that Sunday. This is a very moving service and is as meaningful to us as it is to those whom we serve. hc logoIndigent assistance is often provided to those in our community who need emergency help with food, utility bills, rent or medical expenses. goodshepherdGood Shepherd Homework Center is a program of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church in Tryon. They are joined by members of Holy Cross who tutor children after school in order to help them succeed academically.
