               February 2012

Margaret Leach is the director of the Holy Cross Handbell Choir. Rehearsals are Wednesdays at 5:30 pm - 6:45  in the handbell room.

A handbell choir is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the camaraderie of a church music ensemble. Playing handbells levels the musical playing field like no other instrument. A beginner, with good instruction, can learn to play bells and have a gratifying musical experience in a relatively short period of time. At the same time, bells can offer the challenge of learning a new instrument to the experienced musician. The handbell choir provides the opportunity to work together to achieve a common goal of excellence in the performance of church music. And, we have fun. Just ask any of our ringers!

The only requirements are (1) commitment to the rehearsal schedule and (2) basic music reading abilities. Everything else can be learned along the way. If interested, please contact Margaret Leach or Susie Mahnke at the church. Upcoming Handbells Performances - Easter Morning, April 8; and The Day of Pentecost, May 27.
