Our Mission

Holy Comforters is the prayer shawl ministry of Holy Cross Episcopal Church. We knit and crochet prayer shawls which are then blessed by one of our clergy, and given to those at home or in the hospital who need to feel the comfort of God's grace during a time of illness or other difficulty.

Prayer Shawls in our Chapel

Prayer shawls hang permanently in our chapel which is open 24 hours a day. The shawls may be used for any who wish to pray and meditate in the chapel.

Join Our Fellowship

We meet every Wednesday morning from 11:00 to Noon in the Vestry Room (on the right down the hall from the elevator). Our times together begin with a short devotional, followed by crafting and fellowshipping.

We welcome those who are experienced in knitting and crocheting, and we are delighted to invite those who want to learn! Please join us!
